As you grow older, your health needs more of your attention and so does literally everything else in the world. You need a job to pay the bills and take care of your family, you have to make time for your friends, be updated on the world events and your friends’ life events. In all of this, you always forget the most important task, taking care of yourself. When it seems like the world is against you in losing weight and taking care of yourself, choose you and meal prep.

1. Control over your life

When you meal prep, you get to control exactly what you eat for the entire week. You have to cook once a week or maybe twice a week, but that’s it. You control what goes into your body. A healthy gut is a healthy brain and a healthy body.

2. Overall time saved as you don’t have to think and cook every day

When you are already done deciding and for the most part cooking for the week, there is absolutely no need to spend any time thinking about what to eat or feed your family for the next meal. Most women start thinking about what they can make for the next meal that will satisfy everyone in the family right after they are done with one. Fear no more, meal prepping will save the day.

3. You don’t have to count your calories every day

Hey, how can I lose weight? Calorie deficit, of course. Do I actually have to count every single grain that goes into my mouth? LOL of course not. You just have to count it once when you are meal prepping and the rest of the days you can be worry-free.

4. Budget-Friendly

On top of everything, when you cook all your meals yourself you will end up saving a lot of money as you will buy exactly what you need. You will stop snacking unnecessarily snacking and throwing excess food out. You will also not be going out as it would mess with your plan and of course, you will no longer need to order take-out.

5. No more takeout trash

In addition to saving money from not ordering takeout every day, you will also be saving the planet as you will not have as much plastic to discard in the week. The take-out food is bad for you and the take-out containers are bad for the planet. Meal planning is the way to go if you care about you, the people you live with, and the planet you live in.
